Attach Domain to Website

Attach a Domain to Your Website

  1. Press Manage Domains at the relevant website.

My Websites > Manage Domains

  1. Select Attach Domain.

Do you need a domain? Buy a domain or transfer an existing domain to Bricksite. If your website is on Bricksite Basic (free) you will be asked to upgrade to Bricksite Premium (the purchase proces is described here).

  1. Now attach all required domains to your website. You may attach as many domains as you wish to from all domain providers.

  • Local Domains. Select the domain in the overview and press Attach. Repeat as necessary.
  • External Domains. Select Attach external domain to connect domains from external hosting providers (external DNS setup). Repeat as necessary.

If the domain shows a parked page or does not open the website after it has been connected, remove the domain connection and attach it again. Then publish the website. The website normally works within minutes, but in some cases it may take a few hours to get it up and running. For an external domain, also make sure that the DNS settings at the domain provider match the settings in the external DNS guide.

Typically the website works within minutes, but in some cases it may take a few hours to get it up and running.

  1. Please remember to make Google aware that your website exists by registering in Google Search Console. Otherwise your website will not be discoverable on Google Search.
